How to handle the unsubscribe

Last week was an amazing week.

People lalalalala loved my song “You’re Fired”. weeeeeeee!

Listen here if you missed it.

I got all sorts of AMAZING comments, likes, shares.

It was raining happy dances for Farideh.

Then, I looked at my YouTube metrics.

SHOCK

HORROR

One person DISliked one of my songs!

DISliked?

Are you kidding me?

I’m hilarious!

Ouch.

Burn.

Maybe it was an accident.

Oh well.

Why no one likes me?

One measly little tiny unsubscribe, dislike, unfollow or unfriend can upset us sooooo much – Tweet that!

But it does.

And its human.

And we get over it.

Here is the song for that. It’s the saddest song in the world.

Listen on repeat and cry.

Big shout out to Marsha Shandur for making the love rain for me online.

  • Farideeeeeeh! I love your songs 🙂 she’s got style, she’s got grace… Farideh gives good face 🙂 Haha, got a bit carried away here, I’m a big Madonna fan too 🙂 Anyways, you rock and it’s always a pleasure to discover what you’ve been up to!

    • Farideh

      Thanks Veronique!!
I love that you busted into a rap. One never can get carried away with Madonna – madonna is the best.

  • So sad. But amazing. The wink is my favorite part. Do you think there is a way to automatically play this right after someone confirms their unsubscribe? How amazing would that be. I’m going to find a way.

    • Farideh

Yes! find out! I suspect there must be and I REALLY want to – wouldn’t that be the funniest thing in the ENTIRE WORLD?

Perhaps it could be a way to ENCOURAGE people unsubscribe

  • The wink at the end! The best. (and the song too of course)

  • LOL – as always love it! Leah’s idea is awesome!! That would be too cool! Ha!

  • Well love the song and your voice!! Can’t wait for more dear 🙂

  • Nat

    So cute <3

  • As James Altucher says, 1/3 of people love you, 1/3 hate you & 1/3 don’t care! I always think of that if someone unsubscribes or “dislikes”!

    • Farideh

so true! luckily you hardly hear from those 60% – so we can all assume that everyone loves us 🙂 LOL

  • Oh my god, how did I miss this last week! I had a big grin on my face the whole way through! I wish I had this in my back pocket when i fired my corporate client in October. That would have been perfect. Sorry, NOT SORRY 🙂

  • Rebecca Gruenspan

Love love love! So creative. Hmmm…how can I incorporate something like that in my business? Hmmm… I also love the wink and love Leah’s idea. If I received that after unsubscribing, I would probably resubscribe!

  • I did not need it! Yes!
    But you are still awesome.
And the people that unsubscribe are awesome to someone, as well.

    • Farideh

absolutely! I am a totally fierce unsubscriber lol and I’m awesome 🙂 People are so busy these days – its good they know what is for them and what isn’t.

Julie-Headshot Farideh’s knowledge of tech and Facebook ads is something I didn’t have, but needed to make this launch a success…. Working with Farideh is amazing. She’s knowledgeable, professional and easy going. Plus, she helped make my launch successful and stress-free. That’s as good as launches get!
