How I use Facebook Ads during Pre-Launch (my secrets revealed)

Pin me baby one more time!

Ever been to a site like Modcloth, looked at a dress and then the next day you see the EXACT dress in your newsfeed?

You think: “Are they stalking me?”

Yes. Yes they are.

Guess what?

You can do it too!

Except, when you do it, you won’t be creepy.

Let me share the EXACT strategy I use during my PRE-Launch Campaign

What is a Pre-Launch Facebook Ads Campaign?

In advance of a launch, you’ll need to build a list of people

create awareness and desire for your product. You’ll also need to have an email list of people who want to buy what you are selling.

In a Pre-Launch campaign you do just this.

Generally, before a launch you need to do 1 of 2 things.

Grow your list, OR

Segment your current list.

Let me explain. If you have a small-ish list. In advance of a launch, you’ll need to create awareness and desire of your launch

Why do you need a Pre-Launch Campaign?

You don’t need to seem like a weird stalker to sell via Facebook.

As part of my one-on-one client package, I run Facebook advertising campaigns.

I RARELY offer one-on-one services anymore, so instead of me I thought I’d share my exact strategy.

Steal My Pre-Launch Facebook Strategy

Before launch, most of my clients have a lead magnet to grow a special list of potential customers that need what they are selling (3-part video series, ebook or some other freebie).

This freebie sometimes also acts as a way to segment their current list (if you have a large list, not everyone will be right for what you’re selling).

We put at least half of their advertising dollars into promoting their freebie via Facebook.

Here’s how I target the perfect customers:

  1.  Website traffic —–> Freebie ad

Place a pixel code on your website and you can follow up with traffic with your freebie ad. Psst, don’t want people who have downloaded your freebie to see the ad again? No problem, you can use exclusion targeting for that.

  1. Email list ——> Freebie ad

Upload your current list to Facebook and ensure they get your offer (even if they don’t open your emails).

  1. FB Fans ——> Freebie ad

Your Facebook fans have already raised their hands to say “I like this chick and want to hear more”. Unfortunately, a post or two won’t ensure they see your freebie. If you put a few dollars behind the post you can guarantee your FB fans see it.

BONUS: If your FB fans opt in, they will be on your email list (which means you don’t have to pay for them to see every one of your blogs – you can just email them).

  1. Various Custom Targets —–> Freebie Ad

This is when the magic of Facebook opens up and you can start targeting your people based on their interests and behaviour.

Want to target someone interested in Marie Forleo? No problem.

You can target people interested in Reiki, Byron Katie, Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Tony Robbins….the list goes on and on.

You can go so far as to target a woman, age 29 who lives in a 10 mile radius who likes yoga if you wanna get crazy.

Interested in trying Facebook advertising for yourself? Awesome. I’ve created something that will save you time, money and frustration to make that happen.
